We have tried several math programs over the last 5 years of homeschooling and Teaching Textbooks works for us. First of all, because I don't have to teach it. Secondly, my kids seem to understand and relate well to the way the lessons are taught. I like the scaffolding/spiral/review approach.One thing I would caution other homeschool parents is that just checking the grades your kids are getting is not enough. Check what kind of problems they are getting wrong. They could be getting the same kind of problems wrong--thus not understanding a concept--and yet still do well.

Highly recommended by our advisor. My son seems to be able to work independently through much of this curriculum.
My 3 children use this curriculum and we all love it. It is the best math program we have found and we've tried a few and I've researched many more.
It is very user friendly. Everything is explained well. The lessons are concise yet build on one another. It is a winner in our book.
We ordered the complete set for Algebra 1, paying $104. What we got was the answer key. That was it. I sent an email inquiring as to where the rest of the set was and received a response saying they were sorry I wasn't satisfied and that I could return the item and get a refund. I asked why I couldn't just get the rest of the item. They said they didn't have it in stock. It was very weird. They never acknowledged the fact that they had never sent what they had advertised.
The teaching DVD's are a must for struggling students. Excellent product.

Really appreciate how carefully they almost always teach. Think percentage word problems could definitely be taught better.
This curriculum is so thorough. It's been twenty some years since I did algebra, and it really breaks it down to laymen terms. We love it!
